Starting with the foundation of Te Reo Maori, our school has embraced the importance of Te Ao Maori at every level. The board and staff have recognised the significance of this and have taken proactive steps towards ensuring internal sustainability. With the help of an external provider and the support of the board, one teacher has completed Level 3 (Hapai Rere), five teachers have completed Level 2 (Hapai Tu) and three teachers are expected to complete Level 1 (Hapai Oho) of Te Ahu o te Reo Maori, with dedicated teacher-only days. As we move forward, we are committed to integrating the use of Te Reo Maori into our daily routines and making it a natural part of our school's culture. Our strategic plan includes a focus on increasing the use of Te Reo Maori, with staff continuing to work at their own pace and level. As we embark on this journey, we are excited to see how this will shape our school's identity and enhance our connection to Te Ao Maori in the years to come.
