The Need to Lead

Updated: Jun 12

Leadership development is a major element that underpins the work of the Kāhui Ako. Te Oro Karaka has seen the need and opportunity to provide support for kaiako in the Kāhui Ako to establish, improve and excel as leaders. With the support of Dr. Phil Ramsay, Senior Lecturer in the School of Management at Massey University, the Kāhui Ako are offering a series of Leadership Collabs to equip our educators with the skills required to effectively lead in current and future roles.

The first session, held at Queen Elizabeth

College at the beginning of Term 2, uncovered that Difficult Conversations and Managing Change were primary areas of focus. There will be a series of three more Kāhui Collab sessions to explore these topics further.

Collabs are open to all teachers of the Kāhui Ako from 3:45-5pm at Queen Elizabeth College Music Suite July 17th, September 4th and October 9th.  There is a limit of 50 attendees, so registration is requested. Please check the Facebook page and email updates sent out further to the dates for registration forms.
