PNINS Passport to the Future

Six years ago we set out to develop our local curriculum.

Through consultation with all stakeholders their ideas about what should to be in the kete of our year 8 students as they depart our kura were collected and collated into what became our 4 passport destinations; Hauora, Ako, Manaaki and Angitu.

Progressions were developed for each destination as well as goal setting tools and a place to record Blue Badge criteria.

Today the passports are unpacked within each classroom and used to track progress over time.

Students record their academic and 5 Keys goals and reflections as well as assessment data. These are shared with family and whanau as part of school wide reporting practices.

Each year we review the passport and make the necessary changes to support the needs of our students and teachers.
